I am going shopping today, despite my perilous lack of money. There may be trying-on of clothes. In the recent past, this has not gone well for my psyche.
I'm going to try really, really hard not to get down on myself. If I have to, I'll steer clear of clothes and just look at books or earrings or whatever. You do what you can, when you can.

Good luck, I do hope that it goes smoothly. I had a trip like this on Friday, oy. When it gets overwhelming, retreat to the bookstore; that's always been my strategy, at least.
Looks like bookstore is an universal flighting peaceful place, I escape there as well. I usually need one of my sisters or friends to send me back to clothes shopping:)Fingers crossed!
I think the title of this post is great- pretty much says it all! I hate clothes shopping, too, but it is a neccessary evil. The bookstore sound nice, though. Good luck!
