Note to self 34,543

Dear Lisa:

You have been writing some exceedingly self-centered, triggering posts. It is time to get a grip. You have plenty of other things to deal with besides your love handle hang-ups. No, you don't have a placement yet, but you can think of what you want your classroom to look like and what your management strategies will be. You can draft a letter for your students' parents. You can think about data tracking and organization. You can actually start using your damn planner.

Oh, and you can enjoy yourself, too. You're living in a beautiful apartment with your fiance. That's quite a good thing.

And you can work on your body if you want to. You can get back to where you were before Institute - but it is not going to happen overnight.

Get over it. Get over yourself. Get a grip.

If it helps any, I didn't find your posts triggering. Everybody needs to vent once in a while.

ahhh! When i first read this I thought you were writing to me! So relieved!

That said, i also do not think your posts are triggering. This is your blog. Write what is therapeutic for you!

you are not self-centered. and i don't think i know too many people who would start drafting letters to parents before they got a placement. i know i'd be watching oprah instead.

i hope you can give yourself a break. life is hard and it IS okay to vent. i think it's healthy.

I agree that you are not self-centered. We all need to vet at times, and heck, blogging is the place to do it! I know I do!

Anyway, try to hang in there. Hopefully, you'll get a placement soon, so that will be one less thing to worry about. In the meantime, yes, do enjoy yourself. We miss out on so much, worrying about our bodies.

You are not self-centered. Venting is good for the soul. It is not good to let things fester inside of you. Get it out!
